Text messages from Tribe

Tribe is a private family app made by Vive Life Inc. We send text messages for one reason only: to send you a one-time code that confirms your phone number.

What we send

We send a verification code only when you ask for one in the Tribe app. We don’t send marketing, promotions, or any other kind of text message. We never text someone on another person’s behalf.

Here is what the message looks like:

Tribe: your verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.

How you ask for a code

The Tribe app is in private beta and open only to invited families, so we show the sign-up screen here.

  1. Open the Tribe app and sign in with your Apple Account.
  2. On the screen that asks for the best way to reach you, enter your mobile number.
  3. Read the note under the Send code button, then tap Send code.
  4. We text you a one-time code. Enter it in the app to finish.

How often

Message frequency varies. You get one text each time you ask for a code.

Help and stopping texts

Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to stop getting texts from Tribe.

If you stop texts, you can still use the app, but you won’t be able to confirm your phone number by text.

Your privacy

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile information — including your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent — to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
